Japanese Dolls and Crafts : Kimura Ohshido

The doll is named "Tengu". It's made of ceramic. These doll were imitated Noh or Kyogen's mask in Japan. They have been selling since Edo period. Tengu are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion and are also considered a type of Shinto god or supernatural beings. The mask is made and painted carefully.
