Japanese Dolls and Crafts : Kimura Ohshido

The koekshi is one of great Japanese craftworks. Yukinosei means snow fairy in English. The doll's body express snowy winter. There are some snow crystals. The kokeshi is made in Gunma,or northeast parts of Japan.There are snow in winter in these areas.We image that craftperson make the doll and creat Yukinosei during winter.
